Microsoft is bringing more changes to the Xbox in September, including a revamped game library, controller color changes, and more.
The redesigned game library is the main change you’ll see here, as it’s been redesigned to streamline access to the games you want to install and play. The All games tab in the Full library shows you all the games you own as well as games tagged with streaming services like Xbox Game Pass, EA Play, and Gold Games claims. For example, It takes two and Rocket Field are connected to EA Play, while Forza Horizon 5 and Tinykin are linked to Game Pass.
Xbox controller color customization is another change that Xbox players can expect. Starting today, you can change the color of the Xbox button on your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller with different colors from red, blue and green to produce more than 16 million colors of light. You can do this from the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox console or Windows PC while your controller is connected, then select Color tab to change the color and brightness of the button that appears in an existing or new profile.
You can also choose different default storage locations to install all your games and apps on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. You can choose to save those games and save apps to the console, your external hard drive, or simply choose Let Xbox decide where you can upload your content to save storage space PC gamers and Xbox app users will also get some useful features in this update. PC users can now create shareable links for Captures through the Xbox Game Bar and access noise control settings in the Xbox app.
Finally, players can now set up and start parties directly from the Xbox app using the Parties option in the Community tab. If your Microsoft device is connected to the Internet, you should receive this update today.
