The latest news comes from Lenovo’s gaming phone, the Lenovo Legion. After various rumors circulating since December last year, Lenovo has finally confirmed its July release date.
The Lenovo Legion will be up against another gaming phone that will be released in the same month, namely the Asus ROG Phone 3. Although the exact release date has not been announced by the two companies.
The Asus ROG 3 is known to use a Qualcomm-made chipset with the Snapdragon 865. While for the Lenovo Legion, it is still unclear which chipset this gaming phone will use. According to the rumors circulating, the Lenovo gaming phone will carry the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, but this information is still not convincing enough.
The Lenovo gaming phone will feature an OLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution, complete with a 144Hz refresh rate capability. This phone with model number L79031 will be equipped with 12GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery complete with support for fast charging up to 90W.
In the camera sector, Lenovo’s latest phone will have a pop-up style camera with a 20MP lens. On the back, there are two cameras with 64 MP and 16 MP lenses.
Lenovo Legion is rumored to use LPDDR5 type memory for RAM and UFS 3.0 for internal storage. Additionally, this phone is said to run Android OS 10 which has been modified to Legion Gaming UI.
Other features that this gaming phone brings are no less interesting, including dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an under-display fingerprint reader and two USB Type-C ports.
