The boss who was fingered in the Mankessim nurse’s murder has been arrested in a village where he is said to have been hiding.
Sources reveal that the suspect who went into hiding was spotted in a remote village where his girlfriend lived since news of the unfortunate incident broke.
Sources from the Central Regional Police Command indicate that the chief was spotted by some villagers when he came out of a room to urinate.
Police investigators were immediately informed of his presence which led to the arrest of Nana Clarke, Tufohen of Ekumfi-Akwankrom and Chairman of the Mankessim Traders Association.
“He was arrested on Wednesday after and has since been taken into custody and will soon be arraigned. We have arrested two suspects, including Nana Clarke, and they are all in Cape Coast. Trust the police to do their job and let us remind you that fighting crime is not a one-man job,” revealed Chief Superintendent David Jabaah.
It should be recalled that residents of Sikafuambantem, a suburb of Mankessim in the Central Region, woke up to the news of the death of a nurse believed to be in her 20s.
The deceased was buried in a residential flat and as a result a pastor was arrested but the boss who owned the property absconded until his arrest on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, it is gathered that the deceased was killed and buried in the residential apartment for ritual purposes, but the police indicate that investigations are ongoing to establish the real intent of the crime.
