Prosecutors in Pike County, Ohio, said they killed eight members of the Rhoden family between the night of April 21, 2016, and the early morning hours of April 22. It happened in three apartments and one apartment. Victims:
- Christopher Rhoden Sr.40

- Cousin Christopher Sr Gary Rhoden38,
- Sr’s brother Kenneth Rhoden44,
- and Frankie’s girlfriend Hannah “Hazel” Gilley20
The Wagners did it to get custody of Jake’s young daughter with ex Hanna Rhoden, prosecutors said. Jake actually won sole custody of the child, now 8, after the murder. The Wagners moved to Alaska. That all changed after authorities arrested them in November 2018, sparking a nearly four-year legal battle.
Angela is set to spend 30 years behind bars. Jake is set to spend the rest of his life in prison. He said he regretted his trial last year.
“Yes, your honor, I accept what the government is offering, I am very, very sorry,” he said.
The judge appealed his plea on the aggravated murder count that covered the death of Hanna Rhoden.
“I have committed a crime against your honor,” he said.
