STAGE Perak FC at home were disheartened when they failed to beat Premier League rivals FAM-MSN Project Squad at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh on Sunday.

Losing 3-1 at the hands of an opponent that had no players of real import disappointed the fans who were hoping for a win.

In the first minutes of the match, the home team dominated the game creating several chances, but failed to find the back of the net.

Among the chances created in the 3rd minute by the header of an experienced player, Indra Putra Mahayuddin but missed.

However, Perak FC managed to take the lead in the 6th minute through Stipe Plazibat’s calm goal that beat the opposing goalkeeper, Aizat Aiman​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Stunned by the goal, the visitors made a move with several attempts on the Perak FC goal.

In the 30th minute, the FAM-MSN project team had a chance to equalize, but Muhammad Harith Najwan’s shot in front of the goal was deflected.

Perak FC were then punished with an equalizer in the 41st minute through Amirul Akmal Safarinizam’s shot.

In the first half, both teams remained tied 1-1.

Continuing into the second half, Perak FC made two player changes with Ferris Danial Mat Nasir and K Pavithran replacing Khairul Asyraf Ramli and Hafiz Ramdan.

The presence of two new pillars, however, was not enough to add sting to Perak FC’s attacking machines as they continued to be pushed by the opposition.

More mistakes by Yusri Che Lah’s men opened up space for the FAM-MSN project team to launch more attacks on the host fortress.

As a result, in the 56th minute, FAM-MSN Project Squad player Izzat Zikri Iziruddin added another goal to lead 2-1.

It wasn’t enough, Perak FC were punished again with a goal five minutes later by Farris Izdiham who beat the goalkeeper, Ahmad Syazwan Syazany.

Down 1-3, Perak FC tried to rise through several moves to the opponents’ stronghold but failed to score.

At the end of the match, Perak lost 1-3 at the hands of the FAM-MSN project team from Ipoh.

With this result, Perak FC missed the chance to participate in the Malaysia Cup, while project team FAM-MSN managed to end their winning drought in the Premier League competition.
