Lucas Moura labeled Carlos Vinicius a “warrior” on his Instagram story after the striker reunited with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Antonio Conte’s newly-promoted side won 2-1 and Vinicius came off the bench against his former club.

The 27-year-old was a deadline day signing for Marco Silva’s men after Fulham secured his services from Benfica.

For the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, Vinicius was loaned out by the club as he played a back-up role for Harry Kane with Jose Mourinho in the dugout.

It didn’t work out for the player as he moved to PSV on loan for the following campaign and has since returned to England’s top flight.

Vinicius’ compatriot Moura posted a picture on his IG story of the duo sitting together and sent this message to the Brazilian striker.

“Glad to have you around again, warrior,” Moura said. “Faith. Faith.”

At Tottenham, Vinicius was never going to dethrone Harry Kane as a striker, no matter how well he performed.

But his first taste of English football didn’t go as planned and usually that knockdown is hard to recover from, but not for Vinicius.

Fulham, and most importantly their manager Silva, saw something special in the player and now he has the chance to redeem himself.

The only problem now is that he has a certain Aleksandar Mitrovic ripping him off as he has six goals in six league games after scoring 43 in 44 in the Championship.
