More than 200 bottles of unlicensed alcohol seized by Banjarmasin police from Billiard House and Cafe

WATARBANJAR.COM, BATH MACHINE – Banjarmasin police raided several cafes and billiard houses in Banjarmasin city on Saturday (8/20/2022) night.

Banjarmasin Police Chief, Kombes Pol Sabana A Martosumito disclosed that hundreds of bottles of alcoholic beverages of various brands were secured by the Banjarmasin Police during the activity.

“A total of 38 cans and 169 bottles of alcoholic beverages were secured,” the Banjarmasin police chief said on Sunday (21/08/2022).

“Alcoholic beverages have been secured by pool houses and cafes that do not or cannot present a liquor license,” he continued.

This activity, explained Kombes Pol Sabana, is a form of supervision and control of the sale of alcoholic beverages in Banjarmasin.

The reason is that if the sale is not monitored, he fears that it will disrupt the Kamtibmas and lead to criminal acts in Banjarmasin City.

“Therefore, we conducted this raid as an effort to minimize the potential vulnerability of the Kamtibmas to create a safe and enabling situation,” he explained.

“Disturbances in Kamtibmas such as riots, fights and criminal acts as well as traffic accidents are often caused by the consumption of alcoholic beverages,” he continued.
