Melania Trump denied saying anything about “not caring about Christmas” and accused former White House adviser Stephanie Wolkoff of “maliciously editing” the recording.
Melania, while bashing her ex-boyfriend Wolkoff, said she deliberately recorded the conversation and then edited it before presenting a “distorted version” implying that she doesn’t care about Christmas and that it had no meaning to her.
Rather, “Christmas is an important time for me, my family and the American people, and my devotion to the holiday is personal and deeply serious,” Melania added in her clarification.
Detractors call Melania ‘liar’, ‘scam’, ‘dishonest’ and ‘backstabbing’
In a post shared on social media, Melania also said that Wolkoff secretly recorded many conversations between them that indicate her malicious intentions.
Melania’s allegations created a stir on social media as her supporters and detractors came up with their comments for and against her. Her supporters believe Wolkoff should be taken to task following the investigations and even cited relevant penalties for the crime.
On the other hand, Melania’s detractors refused to buy her arguments adding that Wolkoff had been her friend for almost 16 years and how could someone so close suddenly turn into an adversary. They even called her names like “liar”, “cheating”, “dishonest” and “backstabbing”.
A report published by New York Post referred to Melania’s allegations that she said Wolkoff “deleted” part of their summer 2018 conversation in which I “expressed my hope to reunite families separated at the southern border,” adding that it “explains her intent malicious”. The report also said that Melania spoke openly about it because she wanted to set the record straight.
One Twitter user questioned Melania, adding: “Is Stephanie Wolkoff more or less trustworthy than your close friends Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell?”
“Hmm, who to believe? A woman with no history of lying or questionable integrity, or a member of the Trump family who, just today, has been accused of *massive* fraud and a decades-long culture of lies and misrepresentation. I believe Stephanie Wolkoff!” another user wrote.
