Dangdut singer Mas Idayu has confirmed that he will start a family with TV3 executive producer Mohd Suffian Isa, 51, on September 16.
The couple will be recognized in a ceremony to be held at Magica Hall, Quill Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
It will be the wedding of the year, a wedding ceremony and a reception for a popular singer with the song Senggol-Senggolan, Cubit-Cubitan will receive a prize worth 7 million lei.
Sponsorship includes ceremony venue, dress, jewelry set sponsored by Habib Jewels, catering services and video and photography for the happy day.
Delighted to receive such a big sponsorship, Mas Idayu or his real name, Mas Idayu Mesnun, 50, said that although it was his second marriage, he was still excited.
“Actually, there’s no particular reason why I chose the date of September 16, it just happens to be Malaysia Day so it’s easy to remember because I’m kind of forgetful about dates.
“Alhamdulillah, I didn’t expect to get so much sponsorship for my second wedding and I thank all the sponsors.
“Despite being sponsored, I will also provide ideas including wedding themes, dress designs and selection of jewelery accessories for the happy day,” he told MH.
Mas Idayu was spotted at the launch of his skincare product, Twenty, held at Magica Hall, Cheras on Sunday.
Speaking further about the wedding ceremony, Mas Idayu said that he will hold only one reception on the same day as the wedding.
“The wedding ceremony will take place at 10 in the morning and the reception at the same place in the evening.
“We chose a fairytale theme and all the guests were given a dress code to wear purple,” he said.
On her upcoming honeymoon in Santorini, Greece, the Cintaku 100 Percent singer also said that she and her husband-to-be will take a two-week break after that to navigate a new phase.
Mas Idayu was once married to actor Aman Graseka in 1997 before divorcing in 2006.
As a result of sharing their lives, they were blessed with a daughter Nur Dayini Ashiqah, 25 years old.
