JDT II closes in on Premier League title – Malay News – Malaysian newspapers from Kuala Lumpur

TEAM Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) are all but certain to be crowned Premier League champions after defeating Terengganu FC II (TFC II) 3-0 in the match at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium on Sunday in the evening.

The JDT II side are top of the league on 39 points with a game remaining, opening the scoring in the seventh minute through a shot from 20-year-old Daryl Sham.

Several scoring opportunities were served up for both teams, but they were unable to finish until the end of the first half.

Going into the second half, JDT II continued to add to TFC II’s injuries with Omar Hakeem’s goal off Daryl Sham’s pass in the 82nd minute.

Three minutes later, it was Moussa Sidibe’s turn to score the team’s third goal to provide comfort for JDT II until the final whistle.

In Kuching, Kuching City FC managed to get three points after defeating Kelantan United 2-1 at the State Stadium.

Taking full advantage of the game at home, Irfan Bakti’s men were able to take the lead through Liberian import Abu Kamara in the 63rd minute followed by Amir Amri Salleh’s goal four minutes later.

Kelantan United however got a consolation goal in stoppage time through Asraff Aliffudidin before the second half whistle was blown.

In Kota Bharu, Kelantan FC’s bid to overtake Premier League leaders JDT II stalled after losing 1-2 to Selangor FC 2 in the match at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

Kelantan got the only goal through a penalty kick by Muhammad Ghaffar in the 76th minute while Selangor 2 through a goal by Muhammad Aliff izwan Yuslan in the 28th minute and S. Sharvin in the 34th minute. – Named
