A store has been destroyed after a huge fire broke out in London last night.
About 125 firefighters were dispatched to Hainault Business Park, in Ilford, where the flames quickly spread throughout the building.
The fire has since spread to two other warehouses.
The roads were closed immediately, and people in the area were warned to close their windows because of the heavy smoke.
The alarm was raised shortly after 9pm last night.
In a statement released this morning, London Fire Brigade said: ‘Firefighters worked throughout the night at a large warehouse in Ilford.
“They are continuing to make steady progress, but are reminding residents to keep their doors and windows closed due to the smoke.
“There are road closures in the local area.”
Dramatic footage shows the scale of the fire as smoke billows into the sky. The fire can be seen from miles away.
About 25 fire engines were sent to the scene last night, with crews from stations including Romford, Dagenham, Ilford and Woodford.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The local councilor, Wes Streeting, thanked them for their quick work.
He tweeted: ‘Thank you to the London Fire Brigade for their response to the fire at the industrial building in Hainault. I hope no one is hurt and everyone is safe.
