Kuala Lumpur: “I’m sorry. I am 32 now and I don’t want to waste my time acting in new works,” said Sara Ali when asked about her principle of accepting an acting offer.
According to Sara, an actor has the right to choose which director he feels is suitable to work with before accepting an acting offer.
“If a director can rate an actor, the actor can do the same to rate the director’s way of directing. We know who the directors we want and who we don’t want to work with,” he said.
As an actress, Sara takes several steps before accepting a job offer.
Among them is the question of those around him about the director involved.
“Also, I’ll try to find works he’s directed as well, whether they’re short films or what. If it meets the quality that I consider suitable, then I will decide whether or not to accept the offer,” he said.
Sara also shared her experience working with a quality production team and vice versa.
“Now, I don’t care if the script is good or not because the most important thing is the quality of the director, cinematographer and production team.
“Once I acted in a work that had a very good story and script. However, the production team is not very good, which makes the experience not quality at all,” he said. Most recently, Sara is currently starring in the drama series Murder By Moonlight, which also stars Sharifah Amani, Riz Amin, Ruzana Ibrahim, Radhi Khalid and many more.
This eight-episode drama will air from August 1 on Astro Citra channel.
