‘Don’t Worry Dear’ explained – DIAL NEWS

The following post contains spoilers for Don’t Worry Dear and is meant to be read after you’ve watched the movie and are as confused by some parts as we are.

Even for trailers Don’t worry dear make it clear something is taking place in the city of Gul. Everyone there is beautiful, happy, successful, but everything is just a bit too clean, a bit too organized, a bit artificial. Alice (Florence Pugh) lives the happy life of a 1950s housewife with her husband Jack (Harry Styles) until the day she witnesses a strange event outside of Victory. She then begins to suspect that all is not as it seems, and that boss Jack Frank (Chris Pine) may have some sinister tricks up his handcuffed hands.

It takes Alice a while to uncover the secrets of Olivia Wilde’s heart Don’t worry dear, and even when it does, the film still left me scratching my head – about how the world of Victory works, and how certain symbols throughout the first two acts of the film relate to what we learn in the third space. Trying to understand it all, I made a list of questions, some of which I definitely know the answers to, and others I really don’t. I did my best to try to explain everything. In a few cases I definitely failed – and if you think you know, feel free to let me know.
