Brazilian politicians have survived a tragic plane crash after a power line snapped.

Two politicians, a worker and the pilot of a helicopter miraculously survived when the plane they were traveling with flew into power lines, crashed to the ground and caught fire.

Yesterday, the plane was preparing to land at a football field in Minas Geras state in the South East, after it suddenly came into contact with the cable line.

A shocking scene has been captured as a silver helicopter carrying Brazilian parliamentarian Hercílio Araújo Diniz and David Barroso, the deputy mayor of Valadares, slowly descends into the power line.


The scene of the accident was recorded by a witness who was at the scene, and the people who were watching can be heard panicking, as the helicopter lost stability and dove underground, where a fire broke out.

All four passengers escaped with minor injuries, the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil said. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Fire Department said the pilot lost control before crashing into power lines on the side of the road, according to US Sun.
